The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the incident, noting that the kidnappers demanded a ransom in cryptocurrency. After a high-stakes police operation, the co-founder was released late Wednesday. Ledger, headquartered in Paris, raised €100 million in 2023, valuing the company at €1.3 billion. Although the co-founder had stepped back from daily operations, he maintained a significant role in the company’s factory operations in Vierzon.
